Into the sunset...
For much of the He-Man series it was hinted that both He-Man and Teela cared a great deal for one another. Finally "The Problem With Power" presented us with the scene that we all wanted to see; He-Man carrying Teela off into the sunset...

Farewell, Light Hope.

I always thought that this exchange between She-Ra and Light Hope was one of the strongest in the series. No other episode established their relationship as good as this one, or the role that the Crystal Castle played in the life of She-Ra. Larry DiTillio's dialogue is perfect for this scene, as is the voice acting by Melendy Britt and Lou Scheimer.

For me this scene from the season one He-Man episode "Dawn of Dragoon" is quintessentially He-Man. It is dramatic, action-packaged, silly and funny all at the same time! When you take a step back and think about this scene it boarders on the preposterous, yet fits perfectly into the He-Man series. I have pointed this out before, but the moment when Prince Adam realizes what he must do to transf...

Robert Lamb's "Into the Abyss" is without a doubt one of the most character-driven episode in the series. After Teela has fallen into the abyss surrounding Castle Grayskull we know that the episode's second act will become a rescue story. Even so the character development is still there with the cast in shock realizing that Teela is down in the abyss. When the rescue attempt begins we have no i...
She's very special indeed.

The ending to the season two He-Man episode "Origin of the Sorceress" is one of the most touching scenes in the series. The dialogue between the Sorceress and He-Man is incredibly well-written and heartfelt, and the final exchange between Man-At-Arms and He-Man compliments the scene perfectly! How appropriate it is that an episode about the Sorceress ends with a shot of her flying through the E...

Without a doubt one of the series' best episodes "The Problem With Power" features many outstanding scenes. Of course the scene that we have all discussed over the years is the moment when Prince Adam makes the choice to relinquish the power of Castle Grayskull and give up being He-Man. This is probably one of the most impressively directed scenes of the entire series, with shadows used to crea...
I guess I'm stuck with it.

The end of the season two He-Man episode "Battlecat" features a great little scene with Prince Adam and Cringer. After Man-At-Arms' lengthy story of how Cringer first became Battle Cat we return to the present day where we see Prince Adam and Cringer affirm their companionship. Incidentally this scene was written late in the day as the episode was original scripted and even storyboarded to end ...
Easy, Cringer...

Here I present the most memorable scene from the season two He-Man episode "Battlecat" where we finally learn how Cringer became Battle Cat for the first time. My favorite part of this scene is of course Cringer's point of view with Prince Adam holding the Sword of Power aloft...

I always thought this little action scene at the beginning of the season two He-Man episode "One for All" was a good way to introduce the regular cast into the already Space Pirate-heavy episode. There are a lot of good moments in this scene with Rose precariously balanced atop the boulder, Hisser firing his freeze rays, and He-Man being his typically charming self.

The season two He-Man episode "Teela's Triumph" is one of the series' best episodes, as it addresses the connection between Teela and the Sorceress stronger than any other episode since "Teela's Quest". The plot perfectly foreshadows Teela's destiny in becoming the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull, and the final scene between mother and daughter is both beautiful and heartbreaking...
I'll be waiting.

"Dawn of Dragoon" is not only one of the best Orko episodes, but also one of the best episodes to feature Dree Elle. I was always somewhat disappointed by Dree Elle's subsequent appearances in the He-Man and She-Ra series, mainly because the animators made her design more kid-friendly, and less mysterious as seen in this episode. This scene featuring Orko and Dree Elle's declaration of love to ...

The opening to Paul Dini's classic "Prince Adam No More" has a wonderful scene with Beast Man being thrown out of Snake Mountain. Not only do we have fantastic comic book-like dialogue, but we also see the original collection of Evil Warriors as seen in "Diamond Ray of Disappearance". This was possibly one of the last times in the series that Beast Man was at his most menacing in an episode.
Teela falls!

Act one of "Into the Abyss" ends shockingly with Teela's terrifying fall into the abyss that surrounds Castle Grayskull. The build up to the scene is excellent with calm music and no real indication of what is about to happen. I remember Robert Lamb and I discussing this scene a few years back; he mentioned that his original idea for the scene was written to have Teela hanging onto the edge as ...

After a small scene in "The Energy Beast" we all questioned whether or not Queen Marlena knew if Prince Adam and He-Man were one and the same. Bob Forward's dialogue, Linda Gary's voice acting, and Gwen Wetzler's directing of this final scene from "The Rainbow Warrior" pretty much indicate that she knows a connection between her son and the most powerful man in the universe exists...

Some of the best moments in the He-Man series occur when our favorite green and yellow-striped tiger complains! In this memorable scene from "Temple of The Sun" Cringer is at his whiny best, regretfully conceding that Battle Cat does have his usefulness. It is interesting to see that on this occasion He-Man calls upon the power of Grayskull, whereas in episodes such as "A Beastly Sideshow" and ...

They just don't appreciate good music!
@jrazor28 - Go back to "The Energy Beast" - In the scene where the King and Queen are announcing He-Man Day, Queen Marlena looks out of the corner of her eye at Prince Adam and states, "I think it's time we recognize He-Man..." - The script, the storyboard, and the direction on the episode imply that she is making light of Prince Adam's "secret identity"...:)
kk look at your description, theres no indication in the energy beast of wehther she knows or not
@jrazor28 @jrazor28 - Please re-read the description; I never said it was...
I never understood what was so special about He-Man's "great, gorgeous muscles". Everyone was built like that in those cartoons. Except for the little magic guy. Even Skeletor-a skeleton-was built like Dorian freekin Yates.
yup, this Skeletor is bonkers!
This is not the best transformation. I remember watching this show as a kid and I didn't care how "realistic" this looked. I mean, how can we be worried about how realistic a FANTASY CARTOON can be? Watching the transformation sequence was the best part.
Me to I have seen it about 200times all day long now.
Skeletor kicks ASS. Nuff said.
evil lynn is perfect!
I remember trying to say the same thing. Funny but still cool.
I HATE YOU SKELLATOR!
not, cringer is a hero
This is just a hunch but, when they were fighting Skeletor's knights in this episode. Marlena may have caught a glance of when Adam was turning into He Man when she was piloting her ship during the battle.Course that's just my guess.
1:28 WHAT THE HELL, did he just smile!?
i was a true boy aged fan of this. ah my young days.
get a room

LOL @ :54
"I am sure once I get my sword back I will be able to produce Adam." LOL!
His action figure was a creepy one, but they couldn't make Mantenna (and others) as creepy as we would've liked, since they didn't want to scare kids. Nevertheless, I agree with you; a less comical version of Mantenna would have been cool.
Adora? Scared of this? The woman was raised by Hordak and Shadow Weaver, it'd take a lot more than a broken rope bridge to scare her! That's why I always liked adora better than Adam, she was competent and didn't waste time whining about her situation, and she had a LOT better reasons to whine about than he did.
Which was that episode in which Trap Jaw becomes super strong and his eyes shine? Can someone upload it?
Teela did find out, but Sorceress wiped Teela's mind clear of that knowledge.
Great cartoon. A true classic.
I love the part where Beastman's threatening them & Skeletor just pops the trapdoor beneath him. XD
It's a tradition on their homeworld of Trolla for them to only show their faces to someone that they truly love. It's basically their version of proposing.
Its funny how Skeletor can bully his allies and how Loo-spoils his plans in this episode. LOL!
does anyone else feel that skeletor's become a bit.... crazy....? he's actually more scary than i remember because of it .... O.o
WTF? New He-man? THIS SUCKS!!! I liked the he-man from my childhood more. this is shit what were they thinking?? Worst thing ive seen in my life!!!
Major difference.
also provides a cool effect to make He-man sound "more powerful"
How come Volkan never got his own action figure?
For all it's faults the 80's did let the good guys escape tragedy quite often.
That was back when Villains weren't afraid to be villains...
I don't think anyone is getting anal about it - Just pointing out an observation...:)
I'm glad I missed out on this joke of a he-man series. The original MOTU and the newer one that got on Cartoon Network are by far better. At least the new one didn't venture off the beaten path when it came to the character's looks compared to the 80's MOTU.
Cringer is hilarious...They don't show the transformation because he would be sitting, I get it, lazy animators, but hey, Cringer has this look of boredom throughout the whole thing...I'd have had him yawn or something lol
Maybe on Eternia it's the "D" word instead of the "F" word when they are caught in a jam they can't avoid.
from what ive heard, they basically look like blue elves
i never saw He-man, i just saw she'ra but man Evil Lyn is a damn nasty like an animal and that's what makes her the BEST :) . man the villans are always the best.
Hah yeah really. Doesn't make much sense making them look exactly alike, but they did that with Superman and Clark too. But as much as I like the old school He-Man cartoon, the newer one from '02 makes more sense, since they made Adam and He-Man look different, especially how He-Man became more muscular.
They just didn't want to animate a new He-Man transformation sequence with him sitting down so they cut to Cringer just sitting there.
man, Hordak is HARDCORE!!
it sounded like the dragon ball theam!!!
Ok- how can people work out Prince Adam is Prince Adam when he's in a Santa suit, but when he takes off his tights and puts on some skimpy underwear, everyone thinks he's a totally different person?
He had cranial liposurgery from an over-zealous plastic surgeon.
"You mean they get in fights?" If the kids were honest, they'd say "Yep, pretty much."
he is happy thats so cute :)
It has been uploaded and is available here: watch?v=uvfjkYXak7M
The corrections were good both for sound and light. The picture was very blurred in the origian, and the fix had more definition. Why did they change Sorceress's apparition?
